Tax numbers move, and we are human. If something on this site is wrong or out of date, we want to fix it, and we want you to know how we handle it. This page explains that.
How do you report a mistake?
Use the contact page and tell us the page address, what looks wrong, and where you saw the right figure. A link to the official page helps most. We do not ask for any personal tax details, and please do not send any.
What happens after you report it?
We compare the claim with the official source, the same way we check every figure (see how we check rates). If you are right, we correct the page and update its “checked” date. If the official pages disagree with each other, we say so on the page instead of picking one quietly.
What do we change right away?
Clear errors in a rate, a limit, a date or a calculation get fixed first. Wording that confuses readers comes next. Small typing slips are corrected without a note. Larger corrections are written down on the updates page.
What can we not do?
We cannot answer questions about your own return, your own benefits or your own case. This is an independent information site: we provide no services and we do not represent the CRA, any government or any other organization. Questions about your situation belong with the official organization or a licensed professional. Information comes from open sources and we do not guarantee that it is accurate, complete or current.
