CRA Surrey: Addresses, Phone and BC Tax Rates

Updated Checked by the Tax-Services.ca editorial team How we check

The CRA does list two Surrey addresses on its “Find an address” page, but they’re for specific forms, not for your ordinary tax return. Both are at the same King George Boulevard site: a P.O. box for mail and a street address for certified or registered mail. We assumed “CRA Surrey” means the Canada Revenue Agency’s presence in Surrey, BC.

What does the CRA list for Surrey?

On the page we read, the Surrey entries belong to the International Waivers Centre of Expertise. Mail goes to Post Office Box 470, Station Main, Surrey BC V3T 5B7. Certified or registered mail goes to 9755 King George Boulevard, Surrey BC V3T 5E1.

That page doesn’t say you can visit either address in person. It also says nothing about your own return going there, so follow the instructions printed on the form you’re actually filing, because a street address you found online isn’t a substitute for them.

For most questions, the better route is the phone or My Account. The CRA’s contact page gives 1-800-959-8281 for personal taxes and benefits questions, open Monday to Friday, 8 am to 8 pm Eastern.

What are BC’s tax rates for 2026?

If you live in Surrey, the tax you pay is federal plus British Columbia’s. The BC government’s page shows these 2026 brackets.

Taxable income BC rate
Up to $50,363 5.6%
$50,363 to $100,728 7.7%
$100,728 to $115,648 10.5%
$115,648 to $140,430 12.29%
$140,430 to $190,405 14.7%
$190,405 to $265,545 16.8%
Over $265,545 20.5%

The same page shows the 2025 lowest rate as 5.06%, so the bottom bracket rose. If a payroll table you’re looking at shows a different figure, check the date on it.

How much tax does a Surrey worker pay?

On a taxable income of $80,000 the engine behind our income tax calculator puts total federal and BC tax at $14,655. BC’s part is $4,362. It uses the basic personal amounts only, so your own return will differ.

At $150,000 the total is $38,433 in BC. Alberta comes out at $38,410, only $23 apart. That’s a good example of why you shouldn’t judge a province by its bracket table alone.

The marginal tax rate calculator shows what the next dollar you earn costs. And to see the pay left after CPP and EI, use the take-home pay calculator.

Is there a credit for lower incomes in BC?

Yes. BC’s tax reduction credit is $690 for 2026 (it was $575), according to the BC government. It starts to shrink at a net income of $25,570, by 3.56% of the excess, and it’s gone at $44,952. The basic personal amount in BC is $13,216.

Short version: it helps people on low pay and nobody else.

The federal credits are separate. Our tax credits calculator covers the federal ones only, so BC’s credit isn’t in it. Add it by hand if your income is in that range.

What could we not confirm?

We couldn’t find hours, walk-in rules or appointment details for any Surrey location on a CRA page. We don’t say what happens at those addresses beyond what the page lists. The dates for the next tax return haven’t been published on the pages we read either.

For last year’s return, the dates were April 30, 2026 for filing and paying. Self-employed people had until June 15, 2026 to file.

Where do the numbers come from?

Addresses and the phone line are from the Canada Revenue Agency’s “Find an address” and contact pages. BC rates, the basic personal amount and the tax reduction credit are from the Government of British Columbia’s website. The totals are our own arithmetic. This website has no connection with the CRA or any government.
