Updated Checked by the Tax-Services.ca editorial team How we check
“CRA Regina” usually means one of two things: the Saskatchewan tax services office, or a way to reach a real person about your return. Either way, don’t count on a walk-in counter. The CRA’s address page lists Regina and Saskatoon as Saskatchewan cities you can pick, but gives no street address or counter service for either, so confirm before you drive anywhere. This page assumes you mean the government office, not a business that happens to share the name.
Is there a walk-in office in Regina?
Maybe, and that’s the honest answer. The CRA’s page for tax services offices and tax centres is built as a list of mailing addresses. It names Regina as a Saskatchewan city, and that’s where it stops. Nothing on the pages we read promises counter service, and we won’t guess.
Treat any trip as something to confirm by phone first. It’s a two-minute call that can save a morning, and a wasted drive across the prairie in January is no fun. Bring your social insurance number and the letter you received, because the person on the line will ask for a reference number from it.
The same CRA page for finding an address is also the right place to check where mail should go, since a letter sent to the wrong centre can sit for weeks.
What’s quicker than going to the office?
For most Saskatchewan questions, the CRA’s online account is the first place to look, and it’s free. Set it up before you’re in a hurry, because you’ll need it again next spring. You can usually see your notice of assessment, your slips and any letters waiting for you there, without queuing for anything.
Business owners and the self-employed have one more door. The CRA says its Liaison Officer service gives free, personal support to small business owners, self-employed people and those with rental income, in person, by phone or by video. Ask for it when your question is bigger than one letter.
What does tax look like on a Saskatchewan salary?
Numbers help more than addresses. We ran a Saskatchewan employee on $70,000 through the income tax calculator, with basic credits only and no other income.
| Item | No RRSP | With $5,000 RRSP |
|---|---|---|
| Taxable income | $69,335 | $64,335 |
| Federal tax | $7,278 | $6,253 |
| Saskatchewan tax | $4,973 | $4,348 |
| Total income tax | $12,251 | $10,601 |
| CPP and EI | $5,080 | $5,080 |
So the $5,000 contribution cut the estimated bill by $1,650. That’s a third of what you put in, a nice chunk back at tax time.
Taxable income sits below $70,000 because the extra CPP contributions (about 1% of pay above $3,500) are deductible. Nothing is missing from the calculation.
Where do Saskatchewan people go wrong?
Usually with dates and slips. Small things, mostly. Someone files before the last T5 arrives and then has to amend. Someone else claims a deduction and can’t find the receipt when the CRA writes back. A farmer sends in a return with the wrong box ticked and spends the summer sorting it out.
Line your slips up against each other before you file. If you owe, the tax instalments calculator tells you if you should have been paying quarterly, and the marginal tax rate calculator shows how much of the next dollar you’d keep.
We couldn’t confirm 2026 filing dates on an official page yet. Use the dates the CRA published for the 2025 return and look again later.
How do you prepare for a call to CRA Regina staff?
Write your question in one sentence before you dial. Have the letter, your notice of assessment and the return in front of you. Note the date, the name the agent gives and what they tell you, because a written note is the only record you’ll have if the answer changes later.
If the wait is long, ask whether the answer could come through your online account instead. And if the first agent can’t help, politely ask who can, rather than hanging up and starting over.
What can’t this page tell you about CRA Regina?
Hours, phone numbers and appointment rules for the Regina office. Those change, and the CRA’s contact pages are the only place to trust for them. Nobody here can see your file either, so nothing on this page replaces the notice you received.
What this page is based on
Office information comes from the Canada Revenue Agency‘s address page for tax services offices and tax centres. Tax figures are our own estimates from the 2026 federal and Saskatchewan rate data behind the calculator. This is an independent guide, separate from any government body.
